Awsome game March 7, 2010 Vaklev K. Bastian (Bahamas) This is the best game i have every played, i love everything about it. I cant wait to complete it so i can move on to Assassin creed 2.
A great buy for any one!!
A Fun Game that Sadly Losses Itself In Repetitiveness February 25, 2010 Raiders757 (Newport News, Virginia United States) I'm a late comer to the X-Box 360, so I figured I would borrow some of the more popular games of the systems recent past. For the past few days I have been enjoying, then quickly growing tired of, the highly rated 'Assassins Creed'. At first I basked at the seemingly vast world the game provided, and immersed myself into the game's story. All seemed well, and the game seemed to live up to the hype. That was until I got finished with my second, then third, assassinations.
Somehow the game's creators came up with a great concept, and a game that's a lot of fun to play, yet dropped the ball on creativity. They decided to create a format that pretty much makes you repeat the same things over and over again in order to continue the story and complete your assassinations. Not only do you repeat the same actions over and over, the dialog you hear is the same from many of those you encounter. After a while the citizens of each city get on your nerves for their repetitive ramblings and cries for help. (You hear the same things on almost every street in every single city.) It's really sad. Like I said, all the missions are basically the same. Just a little harder as you move along further into the story. It gets old really quick.
Here's a character that climbs and jumps around almost as good as Spider-Man, yet the creators force you to do the same lame thing each time to get into a city. The gates are guarded, so you have to save a citizen outside to spawn "scholars". You then use the scholars as cover to get through the gate. Sounds cool until you realize that you have to do it over and over again to the point that it becomes pathetic. Where's the creativity? Why can't there be a dozen other ways to sneak in? This is just one example of many. A game like this should have so much more to offer.
Again, you hear and see the same things so many times, that the fun begins to wear down, and the only thing keeping you playing, is to find out what happens in the end. It's a huge disappointment, considering the game began with so much potential. Rent it, don't buy it. Even if it's on the cheap, or used.
Awsome! February 17, 2010 Brian (Kuna, ID) Better then I thought it would be. Some adult aged assisination cinimas, not for kids.
Good concept, with repetitive execution January 27, 2010 M. Herzog (chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Assassin's Creed is a very fun game, but suffers from some very repetitive game play. The game typically works like this: you get a mission, go to an area, are required to find clues to your ultimate target. this is the repetitive portion, as they are basically the same mission, pick pokcet, intimidate, or ease drop. There's a few alternates, but not very many. Once enough clues are found, the real mission begins. These are quite similar to the hitman series, with a few choices of how to kill the target. Each death ends with more story, and then back to get another mission. While I wouldn't call the game great, I would say the game is very good. Despite doing the same thing over and over, I was entertained the entire time. I look forward to playing the sequel, and see if they can diversify the game. In the meantime, this budget priced game is excellent and worth a look. Give it a try.
Nobody can see me because i'm wearing a hood January 26, 2010 M. Anderson (Bellingham,WA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I played this game for one day and i have to say this game is lame. Most of the missions involved assassinating people without alarming them and if you get caught that means you suck at games. The missions are repetitive ,the controls suck especially fighting , and the story is confusing.
