5 out of 5 stars An epic win for the Zelda series   December 12, 2008

I first played this game on the SNES back when it first came out when I was a wee child. I loved it back then, and I still love it now. If you're a gamer, you've probably played at least a handful of the Legend of Zelda games. If you've liked any of them, then definitely give this game a try, because in my opinion, this, along with Ocarina of Time, is the best of the lot. I have played every Zelda game ever released, from the original LoZ and Link's Adventure, up to Four Swords and Twilight Princess, and again, with the exception of Ocarina of Time, which is probably on par with this game, none of the other games have been as good as this one.

A Link to the Past is fantastic for many reasons. It's a fairly long game, even as LoZ games go, so the fun you have playing it will last for quite a while. The strategy involved is perfect, too; there's enough stuff for you to figure out so that it's not a walk in the park, but not so much that you can't figure out what to do and get horribly frustrated and quit playing. It still sticks to many of the other games in the series that came out after it with finding heart containers, searching in random places for items, etc, but carries a lot of it's own unique charm as well. And as far as I'm concerned, what it lacks in graphics it makes up for in overall gameplay (and awesomeness).

Basically, if you're looking for a great new game to play, pick up a copy of LoZ: A Link to the Past. Even if you don't own a SNES, you can still purchase a copy of the re-release for GBA, and play it on there instead. This is a fantastic game, and every gamer should attempt to play through it at least once.

5 out of 5 stars I don't know...   September 29, 2008

I didn't really get hooked on this game as much as other Zelda games like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It is a fun and challanging game none-the-less!

I loved the first zelda game. Link to the past is even better and longer. There is so many areas and cool bosses that you can fight. The sword is still very cool like always. And I think that the map is even more heplful then the first zelda and even the second zelda game. You will be satisfied with this incredible game.

Well this game is fun and exciting. If you're into old school games, then you should definatly pick up this one. Plus it's Zelda! Nuff said. ^^

5 out of 5 stars One of the best games of all time.   June 24, 2008

I've been playing games avidly since I was a small child back in the NES heyday. Out of all the many, many games I've played over the years there is something about this game that stands out as one of the very best. The story is one of the best in the Zelda franchise. The gameplay is highly addictive and doesn't require much of a learning curve. The graphics, for the time, where some of the very best out there and I still thinks it stands up today. This game is also quite big. It will take 12-15 hours to beat this game and that's if you know exactly what to do. There is also the fact that this game evokes memories of a simplier time of my life, being my childhood. The nostalgia that this game brings back every time I play it simply can't be beat. If your one of many who grew up with this series, you know what I mean. And if your one of the few who haven't had the priviledge to play this amazing game, by all means...Play it! You won't regret it.
